Your Sunday review

Every Sunday after your first, spend twenty minutes checking whether the week moved your objective, then set up the next one. Week 02 to Week 12 are already in the template, so there’s nothing to create.

Tick off the week

On Weekly Actions, go to this week’s column and tick Done on everything you finished.

Decide what happens to anything unfinished

For each action you didn’t finish, open the card and set Serves objective? to one of these:

  • Yes: it still serves the objective and still counts.
  • Cut: you’re dropping it.
  • Defer: it can wait. If you still want to do it, add it to a later week’s column.
  • Exception: it doesn’t serve the objective, but you’re choosing to do it anyway.

Cut and deferred actions drop out of the week’s score, so a deliberate no never counts against you.

Write your review

Open this week’s card in Weekly Review and fill in:

  • Moved toward objective: one sentence on what moved.
  • Drifted: one sentence on where the week went off course.
  • Cut / deferred / chosen: what you let go of, and why.
  • Number this week: if your objective has a number, where it stands now.
  • Energy: High, Steady or Low.

The completion bar and the verdict on the card fill themselves in from the actions you ticked.

Plan next week

Add the three or four actions next week needs to its column on Weekly Actions, and tag each one with a role.

Spotting patterns

Every few weeks, two tabs are worth a look. By role, on Weekly Actions, shows which parts of your life keep losing out. Review notes, on Weekly Review, puts every week’s answers side by side.
